Last Thursday, President Alison shared the experience of Eucalypt Australia EA in promoting conservation and public education around our iconic eucalypts.
Alison spoke about the EA Board finding the next generation of ecologists to run the social media campaign for National Eucalypt Day – March 23. This group is "Remember the Wild" which has its own Facebook page and website, as well as EAs web page. See "Read more..." for more details
Then we saw the work of Dr Jen Sanger and Steve Pearce of The Tree Projects in EUC 2020 exploring 12 of Australia’s most incredible eucalypts over 12 months.
The first one was Eucalyptus regnans, wide spread in Victoria and Tasmania.
E. regnans is the biggest and tallest eucalypt, and the tallest flowering plant in the world.

A message for some of us as the older Rotarians is to find passionate younger people who believe in the cause and who can bring their knowledge, social media and communication skills to our projects.
