Successful Strategy Plan Event

On Sunday morning, around 20 Rotarians gathered in the hub, reviewed our Rotary year and shaped some "Action Plans" for the coming twelve months. We started by looking at last year's goals and in three separate groups (New Members, Board, Other members) we evaluated how well we had done.

We then considered new information that we've had since we first completed this plan, Firstly, we listenedd to the RI President Elect, Ron Burton as he gave his theme speech in San Diego this year. Ron emphasized the need to "ask" people so they can become really "engaged" in Rotary.

We then considered things that had worked well in the past year and things that hadn't worked so well. We considered what new dynamics have been created now that we have so many new members.

Then we got into 8 small groups and made plans in 10 key areas of club life.

Overall, most attendees seemed to think the session was really valuable and wished all members could have been there.

A summary of the input and the new Action Plans will be circulated to all members by email. Those without email should get a copy from Geoff.
