15 members met at the Mill House last Thursday (pictured) to discuss plans for our Trad Gen Club during the coming Rotary year. It was agreed that as from this coming Thursday, July 10th, we will meet at the Highland Society each week unless otherwise notified. The plan is to start our meeting at 6.30pm and aim to always conclude by 7.30pm or earlier. Meals will be optional and may be ordered before the meeting at the Food bar for delivery after the meeting at 7.30, or for delivery ASAP for those who need to eat earlier. Usually, we will meet in a walled off section of the club, however, when the Thursday Comedy events occur around once a month, we will gather in the Board Room. The issue of “Acknowledgement of Country” was raised and PP Alison OAM agreed to gather an indigenous perspective on this issue from a couple of Aboriginal Elders working on her farm over this last weekend. A report and decision will be made this coming Thursday. Click “Read more…” for more info and pics.
Members also discussed plans for the removal of our Rotary items from the Mill House store room and a donation to the Organization for the storage of our gear over past months. Members were encouraged to come up with some ideas for both service and money raising projects to be discussed at this Thursday's meeting. After the meeting we enjoyed a meal together at the Bankok Thai Restaurant (pictured).
