Service and Governance committees met last Thursday and made their plans for the coming months. In the reports that followed, members learned that the Vocational committee is planning a new 3 minute talk series based on "the best contact I made in my career". The International committee raised $400 from their recent book fair and is planning to send those funds to "Donations in Kind" to assist with Container costs. The Youth Committee has lots of plans in the Pipeline: They've just paid $650 for the LIFT program. 7 students are going to Defy the Drift ($1300), 2 are off to NYSF ($3000), we're providing scholarships in December, and RYPEN and RYLA will be supported next year. The Community committee is  exploring the History Board, planning a night for Dowie Park (maybe in October), working on a Gender Response Audit, and planning a Preserve Planet Earth response in April next year. As President Leigh mentioned in his "Hot Wire", a motion was put to the members regarding our club involvement in the Energy Breakthrough.
