At last Thursday's meeting (June 18th), President Terry inducted our newest Rotarian, Tony Savage. Tony was nominated by PDG Anthony and will hold the Vocational classification of “Plumbing Services (Retired)”. Tony explained that he commenced his plumbing career in Fitzroy with his father in the 1970's. In the early 90's, Tony started a small plumbing business in Murchison, Victoria, moved back to Melbourne about a decade later where he worked with his uncle for a while, became a “Property Service Manager” at the Casino for a time, and then a “Facilities Manager” with T.A.F.E. for over a decade. Tony and his family moved to Maryborough 5 years ago and he took up his tools again with a contractor in Ararat - an experience he really enjoyed. Tony retired last year and now wants to give service back to the community. Welcome, Tony!
