Successful Energy BreakThrough
As detailed in Pres. Bob's report, we survived another EBT. Maybe it was a bit more work for the kids, and some of them certainly earned their keep on the track, and behind the scenes, but so did a fine team of Rotarians.
I am sure we all appreciated the "fresh legs" added to our team this year, and I congratulate all who aided our efforts. I personally will be rather less gung ho about venturing out onto the track to rescue a capsised car next year, after finding myself in the middle of a multi-car pile-up in the middle of the night. Perhaps I am, in fact, a year older, after all!
I took no photos this year, so these are a couple to remind us that the weekend was more than fast HPV bikes. Thanks, Laurie, parent of a St Augustines push-cart team member.
The EBT works in a dozen different ways, and is well worth our full support, even if the bruises still haven't faded!
Why didn't I have a go at the segway?! At $5 a pop, what cheaper way could I find to break my leg!!
