New member, Sam and wife, Rosa shared their story at our club on Thursday morning at Bristol Inn. Sam was a politician in India, and Rosa was studying food processing when they decided to take a leap of faith and try living in Australia. After a time living in Melbourne, they moved to Maryborough to set up an Indian Restaurant and have been very happy with their move. Rosa noted that one of the biggest differences between life in India and life in Australia is that in Australia, wherever you go, the language and culture is basically the same. In India, the language and culture changes dramatically from village to village! At first, Sam and Rosa's two children found it hard to adjust to life in Maryborough, but now they don't want to leave. Our club feels very fortunate to now have some different cultural perspectives in our mix of members.
