Shane spoke of his impressions of Vietnam  . In this country of 60 million people   he found the people to be polite, immaculate, comfortable and secure.  They are a very spiritual people , adopting a  combination of most religions, temples are majestic places and this keeps people secure.
He spoke of the MEKONG delta  up to 100km wide  and a huge long flood plain. All types of agriculture , coconuts, peppers,  and all sorts of veggies everywhere.  With no refrigeration  fresh food is in markets everywhere, daily.  Especially intriguing are the floating markets  on the Mekong where trading is done boat to boat in  a  floating armada. In the meat markets women chop off the piece of meat you need and hand it to you. The family flew to Buckok Island  on Air Mekong ...very risky!
Other features were the  huge Kuala Lumpur Airport  with its unmanned train running between the two major terminals. The   Kuchi Tunnel and the motorbikes, mostly top class vehicles ,  since can't import over 5 years old.... mostly auto scooters which  are made to carry a whole family. Scenery is great , government is cash strapped because it is a cash economy so cant  finace works.
Thanks fopr a really interesting talk, Shane.
