Dan Tehan had a good day in Maryborough as he unveiled the restored WW1 memorial and viewed the CCTV cameras in the main street which are already working and have led to interrogations of alleged vandalism.

Dan spoke of how Maryborough’s Family Violence Awareness project is putting Maryborough Rotary on the map in Australia and Internationally. It is ground breaking and breaking the taboo of “keeping it in the family”. The race meeting was a wonderful initiative.

Dan said “Please keep going. This issue is far too important to stop now. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.”

Dan was also impressed by the support shown by Rotary for the Chaplaincy program. Unfortunately schools are having to pick up the attitudes and behaviours which used to be handled at home.
