Last Thursday, 20 members enjoyed a Chinese or Fish/Chips/Salad meal, ordered in due to ANZAC Day commitments of our Havilah volunteers. Garry also supplied some delicious apple slices for sweets. We thank Stuart for setting up the room for us and organising cutlery. Those who attended filled in the Rotary Club Health Check, which is the beginning of information for our new Strategic Planning meetings coming up in a few weeks. This is your chance to have input on the next 5 years, so be sure you put the dates in your diary.
Thea and I layed wreaths for Rotary at the ANZAC Day Services in Maryborough and Carisbrook. Thank you Thea for representing our club.
PP Noel put a proposal that we register our members with a new Highland Society fundraising scheme. This was approved by all present and I will put it to the next Board meeting to ratify the idea. Thanks for a good idea Noel.
Six members are heading to the District Training Assembly in Ararat tomorrow, and I thank them for their time. It is a great way to meet other Rotarians from around the District and gather new ideas and information on roles for next year.
As Maternal and Child Health month finishes, we thank our April Meeting Chair, Rob Bursill, for keeping us all on track and in order during the meetings, and providing some fun moments.
Next week sees the final Service and Governance meetings for this Rotary Year. President Elect Leigh will be wanting you to choose for next year very soon.
