It was good to see our Service and Governance Committees working hard last week , and to hear reports of plans and achievements. Thank you to all members who attended these important meetings. Your input is valued.
Our Rotary information and barbeque morning, as part of the Spring Fling event today, went very well, both socially and financially. I was able to promote our club and the work of Rotary in a radio interview on 99.1FM too. Thank you to Chris, Thea, Terry, Martin, Garry, Geoff and Leigh for working and supporting the event.
We look forward to a social evening; an early Chinese meal and then the World Premiere of the Movie, "Bohemian Rhapsody", next Thursday at 6.30pm. Contact Karen if you need more tickets, or purchase them at the theatre. All profits are for the "End Polio Now" campaign.
It would be great to see support for our Family Violence Committee next Sunday 4th November at the Harness Racing event, which highlights our Family Violence campaign. Much planning and effort goes into these days. Well done to all concerned.
The Oaks Day luncheon at the Highland Society on 8th November  will also be a great event, in aid of Literacy at MEC. Buy your tickets at the Highland and bring your partners for a fun day out.
Don't forget our AGM and Foundation night is also on the 8th November. A must to attend.
What a busy time we are having! Our great organisation is certainly inspiring us to "Service Above Self"!
