October is Economic and Community Development Month and we welcomed Rtn David Allman as our guest speaker, who spoke to us about his role as Captain in the Salvation Army, the needs in our local community and ways we might help. More details in the near future.
PP Thea Allan is our new Monthly Meeting Chair and we look forward to her leading the fun this month.
We also welcomed PP Karen Mc Carthy back from her leave of absence.
Don't forget to buy your tickets for the Drought Relief Dinner on October 19th at either the Bendigo Bank or the Highland Society and please return any outstanding raffle tickets next week.
Remember we meet at Peppa's next week and that it is ARH Lift the Lid night, so prepare to be generous with the raffle and wear your hats. Fines for non compliance are likely to be big! Partners are invited and Trace has some fun in store. The Havilah AGM is at 8pm at Raglan House that night and it would be good to have some members in attendance if you are able to make it.
