On Saturday night, in front of over 120 people from the local and district communities, Maryborough Rotary changed over it's administrative team to the team chosen by new President, Leigh Williamson. Outgoing President, Meryl James, outlined the amazing list of projects completed by our club over the last 12 months, and thanked her team for their great work in living out the 2018-19 Rotary theme of, "Be the Inspiration". In taking over the reins, Leigh indicated he intended to keep things running pretty much as they have been, with a few new variations of projects. He encouraged members to embody the new 2019-20 Rotary theme of, "Rotary Connects the World". During the evening, our club presented no less than eight Paul Harris recognitions to members who have well and truly exemplified the Rotary motto of "Service above Self". Rotarians Rob Bursill and David Hare, as well as Rotary friend, Robyn Jennings are new Paul Harris Fellows. PP Thea Allan, PP Garry Higgins OAM, PP Derrick Marsden, DG Anthony Ohlsen, and PP Graeme Rogan all received an extra sapphire on their Paul Harris recognition badges. President Meryl also presented a certificate of Appreciation to past member, Rodney Brown. Pictured are members of the new Board (left) and receivers of Paul Harris recognitions (right).
