Last Thursday, our own member, Louise Hanby D'Wynn, presented members with some stimulating ideas about possible areas for growth in Maryborough organizations, and particularly our Club. In her sights were Board members of organizations who need to be trained in proper governance skills, Boards that in their composition don't properly represent the age and ethnic groups of members in the organization, and organizations that have poor preparations in place for succession planning. In the lively discussion that followed, most people present seemed to agree that our town and our club needs to do more to make migrants from different cultures feel really welcome, and explore ways our club can be more welcoming for young adults.
