The Problem
- 400 million people in the world can’t afford, or don’t have access to basic health care.
- That results in misery, pain, and poverty for millions more.
What Rotary Does
- Our members combat diseases like malaria, HIV/AIDS, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and polio.
- We set up temporary clinics, blood donation centres in communities struggling with disease
- We build infrastructure that allows doctors, patients and governments to work together.
- We prevent disease by providing education and routine hearing, vision, and dental checks
- We are helping to produce a malaria-free world through treatment and prevention.
- Pakistan & Rotary are overcoming cultural barriers to vaccinate children against Polio
The Impact of What We Do
- There has been a 99.9% reduction in cases of wild polio
- We have reduced the impact of HIV infections in Liberia by 95%
- We have provided more than 80% of Ghana’s clean water to fight worm disease
Thank You Rotary!
