Alison Teese attended the RAWCS ( Rotary Australia World Community Service) information day last Sunday, she learned of the Rotary Project with UNICEF to innoculate 100,000 children across the Pacific, the "We can't wait" project in India to provide sanitation for all in India, the "End Trachoma by 2020 " project and Dr David Goldsmith of Ballarat West Rotary on dental projects in the Solomon Islands.
Attendance at last week's film night was 26 out of 45 members or 57% . Four of our members were home again, Karen and Derrick and Thea and Terry, all looking good!
Australian Rotary Health Research is working to raise funds for mental health research with a project called "Lift the Lid on mental illness" by having a fundraiser with coffee shops, the plan is for clubs to seek the help of local coffee shops by having a donation jar at the counter, donating $1 per coffee sold, or asking customers to add $1 to the cost of their coffee to fund the research.
