Did You Hear........E&OE
There is a lot going on.....Thea was Sergeant for our last meeting which was a very busy night.
Captain of the Salvation Army  in Maryborough  and Rotarian David Allman's talk was really interesting, especially to  hear how the Salvo's bring together their service to Jesus and   for mankind. David and his wife and two employees  plus volunteers offer a wide range of assistance to many people each week in a wide variety of ways.  This includes presence at Court each Thursday to  assist and counsel those in need. One of the special things they do is to give out care packages, they are short on Deodorant and  shampoo and children's toothbrushes and would welcome any donations you may like to give.
That next week's meeting is at Pepper's  Restaurant, Hats night and also dinner fee $22.00.
The Pyrenees bike ride was quite a successful event and financially added about $4,400 to Club funds....great effort !!
A recommendation will go to the Board proposing that our Shelter Box go this year to  the Indonesian Tsunami appeal. Don't forget to get the raffle tickets for the drought appeal back to  Pres. Meryl asap.

The Friday night Footy Frenzy raised approximately $1000, while the Rock and Roll dance raised $650. These projects enable us to go our important work ...well done organisers!!

Derrick is flat our organizing the ICFR Festival in Melbourne, he mentioned some of the night mares involved in organizing 255  visitors....especially the names of Indian cricketers!!
There is very sad news that  past member, Trevor Potter passed away on Saturday night. Trevor was  a Rotarian for many years, a  great but quiet worker, and he will be sadly missed.  His  great brick work will always be a  reminder of  his excellent craftsmanship.
Attendance: last week was 64.4%  which is 29 out of  45........pretty good!
