On Thursday, January 28th, our club Service and Governance committees fine tuned plans for the second half of the 2020-21 Rotary year - specifically projects that can still continue despite any changes to Covid restrictions. Committee Chairs reported on some of the projects they still have in the can - see "Read more..." for details
The Community committee has a few projects underway including a Virtual Walk of Maryborough and the distribution of Baby books. The Vocational Committee is planning a session or two exploring the topic of, "The Challenges of Working In Your Occupation With Integrity and Honesty", and they are also thinking of revamping the Pride of Workmanship awards later in the year. The Youth Committee is focusing their energies on a revamp of the "LIFT" program later in the year and noted that existing District Youth programs have also been postponed until more certain times. The Fundraising committee is still moving ahead with the Wine sales and is thinking of adding Rotary labelled "Tea" to the project. They also have three Barbeque events booked at Bunnings for the year and are considering a movie night - mainly as a social night. The Public Image committee reported on their "Rotary Rhythms" radio program. The Foundation committee invited club members to consider giving to the Foundation to celebrate their birthdays and anniversaries since funds are down due to Covid. And the Membership committee spent their time discussing plans for the "Reset" of the club which generated quite a bit of discussion from members.
