International Toast of the Week_Cairo
The duty fell on PDG Geoff James to toast an International Club.
The Rotary Club of Cairo-Egpyt, (Not to be confused with the one in Illinois) is in RI District 2451. The District has 79 clubs with approx. 2000 members. It was chartered on the 11th March 1929 on a Paddle Steamer, and meetings are still held on a boat. What a fabulous place for a meeting. Imagine spending a meeting gazing out at the Nile River amongst 78 of your closest Rotarian friends.
