Club Members who have not given notice of their inability to attend the meeting are expected to pay the cost of the dinner being $20.  Members can pay by cash or EFTpos at the fellowship table on arrival or online to Maryborough Rotary.
Have you thought about prepaying a block of meeting fees online?  Club Treasurer Peter Haywood would be interested in hearing from members who would like to adopt this method.

Each week four Club Members are rostered for Fellowship to assist in greeting attendees, collecting monies, managing the drinks table and putting away meeting items. If you are rostered and unable to attend the meeting, please arrange a replacement.

Riseley's Remarkables Ramblings
This is going to be a very busy time on the BBQ at the Ballarat Swap Meet. This is a great time for those who come and help. A wonderful time for Fellowship not only amongst our Club but also with those of Ballarat, I think there are also a couple of Marshalling jobs but we can't do those if we have vacancies on our BBQ.
I am looking forward to spending time with you  and working side by side.
At least the forecast is not for  extreme heat or cold a 30 degrees on Friday and 21 on Saturday.
Enjoy the weekend whatever you may be up to.
Have a wonderful week

Rotary Leadership Institute Graduation
Congratulations to Louise Hanby D'Wynn and Tracey Smith for graduating last Saturday (17th February) at the Rotary Leadership Institute.  It was a terrific course and participants were extremely grateful for the opportunity to participate.  The learnings from the program will assist us with being not just a member but a Rotarian for the Maryborough Club.
Thank you to Geoff James and Linda Carr for being such sensational convenors.  Good luck to Harold Breitinger who was unfortunate not to be able to attend and complete the final day with us.  We know you will graduate with flying colours when you do get the chance next year.
Committees week - extremely beneficial
Last week at Rotary we had our two sessions of Committee meetings.  I don't think we as members of Maryborough Rotary Club appreciate how fortunate we are that we have enough members to actually have committees to be responsible for our areas of Service.  After having completed our Rotary Leadership program last week Louise and I listened to other participants talk about that in their clubs there is a chair of each group and they are solely responsible to make events happen in that area - Youth, International, Vocational etc.
I personally would not be a member still if I was given a role like that and expected to do it all on my own.  I enjoy the support and collegiate approach we have to getting so many events happening within our club.  Please make sure when committee nights are on each month you take the opportunity to contribute but more importantly consider your chair and their role and provide them with the support they need to keep our club strong and thriving.  The same for events that individuals take the time to coordinate - they need manpower to ensure their event is successful and even if it is not necessarily 'our thing' the fellowship and sense of achievement is far greater for everyone.
Apology for late Bulletin for this week
Dear all
I just wanted to say an apology for not sending this bulletin prior to last night's meeting - it has been a big week at work and home.  I will send out the bulletin earlier next week.
