Club Members who have not given notice of their inability to attend the meeting are expected to pay the cost of the dinner being $20.  Members can pay by cash or EFTpos at the fellowship table on arrival or online to Maryborough Rotary.
Have you thought about prepaying a block of meeting fees online?  Club Treasurer Peter Haywood would be interested in hearing from members who would like to adopt this method.

Each week four Club Members are rostered for Fellowship to assist in greeting attendees, collecting monies, managing the drinks table and putting away meeting items. If you are rostered and unable to attend the meeting, please arrange a replacement.

Riseley's Remarkables Ramblings
The BBQ out at the trotting track was well supported by Rotarians who have cooked up top breakfasts for the multitudes.
The Probus clubs had their AGM’s last week and this, so I have been busy.
The next event is the local student LIFT program which will be on Thursday 15th March.  It is at the Community Hub in rooms 1 & 2 downstairs from 9.15am - 3.00pm and facilitated by Shane Green.  If you have anytime during the day and would like to show support for the Youth Committee and the local students please let Graeme Rogan or Harold Breitinger know of your intended attendance.
Following this the next fundraising event will be the Pyrenees Bike Ride on Sunday 18th March. Please support Peter Haywood in his efforts. There are still some roles to do and this would really assist Peter in being able to enjoy the day and see the rewards for all his efforts in organizing the event. Check out what jobs are still to be filled and help on the day.
There is still members required for the MEC Family Fair BBQ on Friday 23rd March.  The times are earlier this year with a start time of 2.30pm for the Fair to be open and finishing at the earlier time of 6.00pm
Other big events are the District conference in early April at Mt. Gambier, its just this side of the Barossa Valley.
A team of Maryborough Rotarians are going over there to ... tell them how we will run a conference in 2019. ENJOY!
The Board met on Monday night, look for the minutes of that meeting. They should be somewhere, soon
My minds gone dry. See you on Thursday.

Forum to review the Maryborough Rotary Club
PP Garry Higgins (Chair of Membership committee) introduced PP PDG Geoff James to facilitate a Forum for a review of the current Maryborough Rotary Club members engagement levels.
Geoff provided note paper and member's broke into table groups to discuss collaboratively the responses to 5 key questions.
1. Should we change our current meeting rituals?
2. What would need to change for me to make attendance at Rotary meetings and events a bigger priority?
3. What is the best way of maintaining regular contact with all our members?
4. How can we ensure that members are as engaged as they want to be in the club?
5. How can we best ensure that all members in our club respect the efforts and level of engagement of all other members?
Each table was then asked to report back and then all information was collected and provided to the Membership committee for collation.
If you missed the night and would like to provide input please let Garry Higgins know of your thoughts.
There will be further opportunity to provide input when we review our Strategic Plan later in the year.
