On June 3rd, due to Covid restrictions, our club reverted back to Zoom meetings, and PP Thea took centre Zoom, or actually top left Zoom (see Thea showing her lanyard) to share the Allan's experiences of the Rotary Cruising Fellowship. Like other Rotary Fellowships, the Cruising Fellowship brings together Rotarians with like minded interests, and Thea says that she has loved cruising ever since she and Terry crossed the Murray on a Punt. When Cruising was actually in full swing, before the Pandemic, members would simply share their intended Cruising destinations and dates of departure, and other Rotarians could make their own arrangements to maybe join the same cruise. The monthly magazine also provides honest (Rotarians after all) reviews of various cruises and places where people go ashore. They would also share the menus from various cruises and their opinions of many aspects of cruising life. As Thea said, membership of Cruising Rotarians is free but you can purchase a cruising Rotarian Lanyard and badge for just a few dollars.
