Ten brave souls ventured out in the pouring rain to attend last Thursday's pre-meeting before we headed up to the Maryborough Education Centre to learn about "Call-Push-Shock". The presentation by Ambulance Victoria was very powerful and informative, and everyone got the opportunity to refresh their CPR and Defibrillator skills. The take home message is that for every minute before CPR compressions are applied to a person who has collapsed due to medical cardiac failure, their chances of survival decrease by 10 per cent! And chest compressions, at 2 per second for as long as is required is the single most important factor in saving a person's life. See "read more..." for pics at the "Call Push Shock" event
