  • SayNo2FamilyViolence Strategic Planning Sessions
  • The Maryborough & District Horse and Pony Club (MDHPC) Hickstead raised more than $400 donated to our #SayNo2Family Violence program
  • HALT Program (Hope Assistance Local Tradies – Mental Health Program), Rotary served the local Tradies with a ‘Save your Bacon’ brekky.
  • M/B Rotary Travel Raffle major fund raiser all prizes won by locals
  • Maryborough Rotary, Carisbrook and Maryborough Lions donated funds to purchase a custom made wheelchair/stroller a 9 year old who suffers from cerebral palsy.
  • Oaks Day A wonderfully entertaining afternoon of fun and frolics with the Chaplaincy Oaks Day Luncheon and celebrations, at which Rotary assisted where 100 + punters,  sweeps, lucky prizes and a series of bidding wars during the "auctions' raised more than $3000 for Chaplaincy at MEC.\
  • The Beacon Christmas Dinner at MEC attended by Rotarians partners and friends. The Christmas Dinner was catered for by students. Beacon helps inspire and motivate students to either stay in school and increase their educational engagement and attainment or choose a positive pathway that enables a successful transition to employment, further education or training. Maryborough Rotary supports Beacon whenever and wherever possible.
  • Planning for the District 9780 Conference to be held in March 2015 is in full swing. This is a mammoth undertaking and will involve full club participation along with assistance from other Group 7 clubs.
  • Australia Day 26th January 2015

    2. Highlight of the morning was the Club being awarded the Central Goldfields Shire Community Award for the work undertaken via the #SayNo2FamilyViolence Project.
    3. Rotarian Alison Teese received an Order of Australia Medal for her environment and conservation work. Alison farms at Moolort and set up a philanthropic trust to preserve the nation's eucalypts; and has been honoured for her service to conservation and the environment in Victoria.
Youth Activities
  • Maryborough hosted more than 110 District Youth Exchange Committee Members, at the Maryborough Education Centre. A combined Rotary/ Youth Exchange meeting held at the Maryborough Highland Society had 150 in attendance.
  • The RACV Energy Breakthrough and once again Rotarians acted as Marshalls and provided 24 hour catering.
International Service Activities
  • Rotary Foundation Polio Plus fundraising film night for 26th February 2015
    The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, at the Regent Cinema, Lydiard St Ballarat
     
Vocational Activities
  • Maryborough to host Rotary Southern Districts D9780, D9790, D9800, D9810, D9820 Shine On Awards on May 24, 2015 at Maryborough Highland Society.
