On Thursday, past Rotary member, John Sedunary shared his own recent journey since leaving Maryborough, and also the work of the Compassionate Friends organization of which he is currently CEO in Victoria. It was an engaging presentation. Compassionate Friends delivers support to bereaved parents, irrespective of the age or circumstances of the child who passed away and includes support for those whose children were miscarried. Grants from State and Federal Government sustain the organisation. One insight John shared was that the 'stages of grief' with which members may be familiar may not be experienced sequentially but simultaneously, retrospectively and repetitively.
